Exactly 7 years ago, The Doon School choir and orchestra performed at the Vasant Valley school in New Delhi, India on this day. I was part of the choir at that time (yes guys, i could sing once upon a time) and that was an amazing experience for me. The whole bunch of us went to Delhi in 2 buses in the scorching April heat. We were given a very warm welcome (or rather a very cool and refreshing one) by the girls in Vasant Valley. Coming from a all-boys boarding school, each and every one of us were glad to receive that kinda welcome . Together with 3 other fellow choir members, we were put up at a teacher's sprawling house somewhere in Noida and she treated us like real kings ! We were very nervous on the day of the performace, partly because of the presence of so many good looking females whose expectations had to be met by us ! Months of hardcore practice was at stake on this day.

The performace went really well without any hitches and we performed the "Rag-jazz-mala" a indo-western clasical-jazz fusion which was composed by our Music teacher, Mr Gurusharan Singh (also nicknamed as "Gurshu" by us). That was one of my favourite pieces ever and even till this day i can play the tune on my sitar and i occaisionally hum it sometimes in the bathroom.

That was seven years ago and that experience opened up a whole new world for me. I learnt to perform in a team and go out there and just achieve it ! It was such an enjoyable experience for me, coupled with the fact that we got to miss classes and we were welcomed back to school like heroes by our head master. Sometimes i wish i could relive those days once again....but alas....

For the last two weeks I was working on assembling a 1 kilowatt HD-FM transmitter with a Nautel M50 exciter, our flagship product. After numerous hiccups and lots of testing, it finally shipped yesterday to Las Vegas for the North American Broadcasters Show (NAB2006). We have 3 demos for the show and the HD-FM demo is gets the most spotlight because our M50 exciter is robust enough to function even during a network outage without dropping audio.
